Taken at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge on Oct. 27, 2010. Used a Canon 7d, 1/2000, f6.3, 400mm, ISO800, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens. These majestic birds are a treat to see fly over, and it’s even better to get a shot of one.

Wow, this is great! Have you ever gotten one this close up before?
Back in Sep. 2009, I got a couple decent shots but they didn’t show the eye as well as this one does. They were also flight shots. I have yet to get close enough for a good shot on the ground. Thanks for the nice comment!
