It was a thrill for me to add this sparrow to my life list as this is my first sighting of this beauty. Taken on Oct. 27, 2010, at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge using a Canon 7d, 1/320, f6.3, 400mm, ISO800, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens. It’s always amazed me how these birds know how to land on the thorny branches without getting stuck.
