A late Spring image of the male Common Yellowthroat, taken June 4, 2015, at the Ridgefield NWR. Not the most optimal lighting here but the green background and leaves add some nice habitat features to this bird’s portrait. These little birds migrate a long way to get here, arriving in late March – early April, and staying through much of the summer.
