Pesky Nutria (brown ones) are all over the place at the Ridgefield NWR. Every once in a while, refuge management has to go around and exterminate them so they don’t take over the place. They are known to cause damage to the environment. Every so often an Albino version shows up, as it did here on March 28, 2013. This one is taking care of an itch. I refer to these creatures as big rats that swim.
