A previously unseen (bonus) image that was not included in the 7-image Bald Eagle Behavioral Series posted here on my blog, Jan. 7th. If you’ve already viewed the story-like series, the following explanation makes more sense.
Here, Junior has just gotten out from under his Dad’s clutches (Dad (on the left) had flown in and tackled Junior to the ground in image#6). Somewhat shaken, with feet off the ground and his nictitating membrane deployed over his eyes, Junior pleads to his Mom (with wings spread) that he isn’t being treated very well and flies off to again try his luck at catching a coot. Junior’s thinking, “I make one silly mistake and my folks go ballistic! Mom didn’t even try to save me!”

Yay! Love the deleted scene and very appropriate response from a teenager-i’ve heard it before!;\ 🙂
Thanks, Christy! These eagles are so fun to watch!
