Some of you may have viewed my previous image post of this Hawk flying right at me titled, “What did you call me!??”. That image was the 4th frame in the series of the bird’s take-off from the top of a tree.
The image above is the 1st in the series, just as the bird was taking its initial wing flap to launch. The elapsed time between the above image and the 4th frame shot was less than 1 second. The bird had its eyes on me in every shot. The rest of the series will appear in an upcoming blog post for Nov. 13, 2013–the date they were taken. Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1000, f4, ISO 1600, 500mm.
